I know...I know....it's been FOREVER since I have posted anything. Seems as though after Jilliann arrived in my world, EVERYTHING is about her! I am loving life and everything involved with being a Mommy! Jilliann Marie is a blessing! She is just perfect! I am in the middle of writing our birth story and will post soon!

Can't believe that Jilliann's due date is in 2 days! It is so crazy how fast time flies! These last few weeks have been dragging by. I guess that is what happens when you get so close to seeing your precious baby for the first time! Tyler and I can hardly stand ourselves! We went to the doctor Monday and he said I was almost 2 cm dilated and 25% effaced! He also stripped my membranes thinking that maybe it would speed up labor! Tuesday night Tyler and I were giving a gift card to go to a very nice restaurant before we become parents! We went and ate there and it was amazing! Before we went to dinner though, I lost my MP (mucus plug). I was so excited and hoping that labor would be near/ We are now at almost Friday and all I have really had is cramping. I think maybe I have had some contractions, but not to sure! My mom and dad fly in Saturday and I am hoping to be in the hospital or be holding her in our arms. The past couple of days have been really hard! I just want her to be here! Please say some prayers!

Tyler and I have had a rough year or so. Last year, we found out we were pregnant and then ended up loosing the baby July 28th. I was around 9 weeks pregnant or so. It was the hardest thing I have had to deal with. Thank God we had the best doctor ever. Dr. Watson helped us work through the miscarriage like no other doctor I know. We were told to wait at least 4 cycles (I know TMI) and then we could try again. Tyler and I followed those orders and got pregnant again after my 3rd cycle! We are now reaching week 39 and are so excited! Jilliann Marie's (our baby girl's name) due date is August 21st! I have been praying for her to come early forever now. Doesn't look so bright in my future! Our next doctor's appointment is Monday, August 16th, I am hoping we have made some kind of progress!

Tyler and I spent Christmas at our home in Port Orchard, WA. On Christmas Eve, Tyler and I were making our Christmas dinner. As we are cooking dinner and listening to music through our T.V., we got a knock on our back door. To our surprise...it was my Mom, Dad, and Brother! We couldn't believe it! They flew all the way from Atlanta and surprised us in Port Orchard on Christmas Eve!

It's been a while!

Since my last post, many things have changed in our lives. I know I am very far behind, but I wanted to update in some way. Tyler and I are expecting our baby girl, Jilliann, in 10 days! We are so very excited we can hardly stand ourselves. Jilliann's due date is August 21st. These last few weeks seem as though the whole pregnancy has been put on hold. Throughout the past 9 months, things have gone pretty fast. When we hit our 9 month mark, time came to a screeching halt. Everyday I pray that something will change in my body, but no nothing ever seems to happen. I guess I just have to trust that God will allow her to arrive on his terms, not mine. We will be very busy beginning August 21st. My mom and dad are coming in for 2 weeks to help us get settled in with our baby girl. Tyler's dad is flying in September 7th and leaving the 13th. Then, Tyler's mom will be flying in September 10th and staying until the 21st. We are so very excited for our family to be visiting, but know that it will be busy! Well, I am off to get some things done around the house, but we will definitely keep yall updated! We can't wait to meet our sweet baby girl!

It's Been Too Long

Wow...it has been a while since I last blogged! A lot has gone on in our lives throughout the past couple of months.

1. We have had some pretty incredible weather here in Seattle this summer. It has been absolutely beautiful---sun shining and blue skies almost everyday!

2. I just recently accepted a position in one of the public school districts around Seattle. My position is titled Sub/Para. I will be working mainly with Special Education students in all different age groups.

3. I have had family come and visit throughout the past couple of months. My mom was here at the end of July helping Tyler and I get through one of the most difficult times of our lives. Ashley, a friend of mine, was here in August visiting the beautiful city of Seattle.

4. The most difficult time of this year crept up on me at the end of July. Tyler and I were expecting our first baby in February. Come to find out, 10 weeks through my pregnancy....I miscarried. This was a horrendous shock to both of us. Baby Gauthier was due Feb. 28th and we were so excited to become parents. When we found out there was no heartbeat, our world collapsed. My mother flew out here and was present for the entire process. I thank God everyday for our family. We think of Baby Gauthier daily! We love and miss Baby Gauthier in every moment of our lives.

I have been catching up on reading many of the blogs and it is so good to see all of you doing wonderful!

Seattle Weather

SO....everyone states that Seattle, WA receives the most rain throughout the U.S. I have to definitely beg to differ. We have lived in the Seattle area for almost 6 months now and seem to think that in reality it is not that bad. Yes we have had some rainy days, but when it clears up and becomes a sunny day, it all pays off. When I wake up and can see the Olympic Mountains out of my kitchen window, it seems to make my days much brighter!

We are finally settled in Port Orchard, WA. It is an amazing little town! We are renting a three bedroom, 2 1/2 bath house! We love the house to pieces! We are settled in the house and waiting to see what the future holds for our lives!

We saw a sign that is our last name in Canada!

In November, the Coast Guard transferred us to a 378' boat in Seattle, WA. When traveling down from Alaska, we took the Alaska Marine Ferry to Canada. From Canada, we traveled down to Seattle. We knew before moving down to the Seattle area that we didn't want to be in the city. We looked in the outer skirts of Seattle and found an amazing little town called Port Orchard. It is so beautiful where we are living now.

There were many awesome sunsets in Alaska. Tyler and I actually captured an amazing sunset one night around 10:30. I couldn't believe what my eyes were seeing! It was absolutely beautiful!

When we were stationed in Sitka, AK, we had no choice but to live on base! I hated the thought of being surrounded by other coastie wives, but I smiled big and lived through it! Once we got moved in and everything set up, I really enjoyed my home. I always look forward to arranging our many different houses the way we love!

Shelby is our 2nd child! Tyler and I love our dogs as if they were children! Shelby was a stray, that one of the guys on Tyler's boat found in his neighborhood. We had been talking about getting another dog at the time, but didn't know where life was going to take us! Tyler called me one night when he was on duty and asked if we could take Shelby in our home. I didn't know about it at the time because he was on duty that night and we had just gotten Georgia. Finally, he talked me in to taking Shelby in that night and life has not been the same since! We love both Georgia and Shelby lots!

When moving from Mobile, Al to Sitka, AK, we chose to drive across The United States. When we received our orders and got everything packed up, we drove from Mobile, AL to Lawrenceville, GA. We decided to take a month to visit with family and friends and begin our journey towards Alaska. After we visited all of our family and friends, we decided to head West. It was absolutely the most amazing time Tyler and I had together.

First Time Home Buyers

This was our first home that Tyler and I bought together! It was a ranch that sat on a 2 car garage. It was about 1,700 square feet and sat on an acre lot. We totally gutted the inside and remodeled the house to what we loved. It was amazing! This was located in Mobile, AL. It was very sad for us to leave this house when we were transferred to Alaska.

This is our first home as a married couple! After we got married, I lived in Georgia for about 4 or 5 months due to the military. Tyler was stationed on a boat and went out to sea shortly after we were married. When he returned from that patrol, I decided I had to move down to Alabama with him. We found the cutest apartment in Mobile, AL. We lived here for about 6 or 7 months and then decided to buy a house of our own!

Our first born child! Georgia was the highlight of our lives 2 years ago. We rescued her from a shelter of about 75 puppies. Her large floppy ears and long nose called our names when trying to choose between the puppies.
